Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 22, 2026

Financial Spark (financialspark.com) is a finance publication edited by Greg Ranieri. This page explains what information the site collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. It is written in plain English on purpose.

Information you send us

If you use the contact form, we receive your name, your email address, and your message. Form submissions are stored on the site and delivered to us by email. We use them only to read and respond to your message. We do not sell this information, and we do not add you to any mailing list — the site does not run one.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, which can include your IP address, browser type, the pages you visited, and the date and time. We use this information to keep the site running, understand which stories get read, and spot technical problems.

The site also uses cookies — small files stored by your browser. Some are needed for the site to work and remember basic settings. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time; the site will still work.

Advertising

Financial Spark plans to carry advertising, and this section describes how it will work when ads appear on the site.

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies (including the DoubleClick cookie) lets it and its partners show you ads based on your browsing. Other ad networks we may work with do the same.

You can opt out of personalized advertising:

Blocking cookies will not remove ads, but they will make them less tailored. We do not control the cookies set by ad vendors; their own privacy policies govern what they collect.

Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with the service providers who help run the site — hosting, email delivery, and, when ads run, advertising networks — and only so they can do that work. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

Data retention

Contact form messages are kept as long as needed to handle the correspondence. Server logs are kept by our hosting provider for a limited period and then rotated or deleted.

Children

This site is written for a general adult audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
